The East Africa Challenge is an International Golf Tournament approved by the Royal and Ancient of St Andrews Golf Limited (R&A) and is organized under the auspices of the Tanzania Golf Union. This year the event will be held in Arusha from 8 th to 11 th November 2011 at the Arusha Gymkhana Club.

It is an annual tournament hosted by members of the five East African countries namely; Kenya , Uganda , Tanzania , Rwanda and Burundi on a rotational basis. Last year the event was hosted in Rwanda .

The East Africa Challenge attracts the best amateur golfers in East Africa and plays an important integrative role for the region and brings the five nations even closer.

Sports is one of the important activities of the East African Community integration process and we are happy that the regional golfing fraternity has come together to hold this Tournament in Arusha.

It is very expensive to host such kind of an event and we are therefore appealing to more companies to come out and assist. We would like to express our gratitude to the following companies that have so far offered their sponsorship.
